The theme for last year's TLC was "2020 Vision," meaning being able to see clearly or perfectly. However, because of COVID, we were unable to host TLC last summer. In addition to COVID in 2020, our country experienced political division, civil unrest, racial tensions, and even divisions within the church. One of the things we learned through 2020 is that we may not see so clearly.

This year's theme is a play on last year's theme. The expression "Hindsight is 2020" means: It's easier to see more clearly or perfectly when we analyze and evaluate situations in the past. As we look back at 2020, we want to clearly see how we, as followers of Jesus Christ, should engage with our various relationships during future times of societal stresses.

In Matthew 22:34-40, Jesus summarized His followers' relationships as "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind…and, you should love your neighbor as yourself." This relational summarization serves as our framework for TLC 2021.
