Meet the 2022 TLC Speakers
Gian Paul Gonzalez
Gonzalez is widely recognized for inspiring the New York Giants to their most recent Super Bowl victory with the phrase “All In.” He has been featured on ESPN, Fox News and CNN.
His inspirational talks have made him an internationally renowned speaker for the NBA, NFL, English Premiere League, MLS & Fortune 500 organizations. Since 2016, he travels to all New York Giants’ games, working in the coaches box and conducting weekly meetings during the season.
Gonzalez was a former NCAA First Team All-American forward from Montclair State University, scoring nearly 1,400 points in his three-year career. He played in the NBA Summer League and was offered professional basketball contracts. He turned them down to continue his work with at-risk youth.
Gonzalez is the founder and executive director of Hope & Future Community Center, which uses athletics and physical fitness to share the message of hope and strive for excellence in inner-city public schools and juvenile jails.
Kristi Walker graduated from CSU in 2000 and has spent the last 18 years in Berlin, Germany, serving as a missionary with CrossWay International Baptist Church. For 17 of those years, she was the church’s director of student ministries).
Living in the “Land of the Reformation” prompted Walker to get a master’s degree in church history. She enjoys writing, traveling and fishing. She also directs the internship program through her church in Berlin and loves training young people for missions and ministry.
Frank is a 1992 Graduate of Baptist Bible Seminary and has spent the last 30 years of his life serving in youth ministry. He is currently the Susquehanna County Ministry Coordinator for Northeast Pennsylvania Youth for Christ, which does direct ministry to public school students in 9 counties in Northeast PA. In addition to YFC, Frank also teaches Youth Ministry classes at CSU and is the Head Track Coach at Abington Heights High School. Frank and his wife Kim have been married for 36 years and have 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
Walker is discipleship pastor at First Family Church in Ankeny, Iowa. He grew up right here in Clarks Summit and graduated from Clarks Summit University in 2004. Walker served 15 years in full-time ministry as a youth pastor in Michigan, Indiana and Iowa before God called him to lead the discipleship efforts at his church (they hired a fellow CSU graduate to take over leading the student ministry!).
Walker married Kaci (Dickinson), whom he met at CSU. They have three kids, 16, 13 and 8 years old. Besides spending time with his family, Walker loves coffee, golfing and fishing.
TLC has a special place in his heart as he has been attending it in some capacity for more than 25 years.
Joe Martino has served as a youth pastor, church planter and Bible teacher who has coached baseball, soccer and basketball (earning the title of national coach of the year three times). He was also a clinical team leader at Pine Rest Mental Hospital, helping support the mental and emotional needs of at-risk teens in a locked facility.
Martino and his family have moved all around the U.S. Their latest move was in 2007 to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he became executive director of Urban Transformation Ministries to reach at-risk youth in the city.
Martino’s education reflects his passion for young people and adults. He graduated in 1998 from Clarks Summit University, where he met his wife Erica (Rollyson). In 2010, he graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and started a private practice. The practice now has three locations and a psychiatric team. He is a published author, speaker and podcaster with more than 30,000 weekly listeners. Martino also works with the local schools to reduce violence and mitigate mental health crises.
His life mission is to change the world and be known for loving his family fiercely. He and his wife are celebrating 23 years of marriage and have four children.
When it comes to connecting with teens Josh brings a lifetime of experience to his communication. First, Josh was a teenager for 7 years before spending time as both a young adult and a middle-aged man. This life experience brings with it an authenticity that will deepen your faith and strengthen your leadership skills! Josh, the founding pastor of Branch Life Church in Pottstown PA, has been developing teen leaders for over 20 years as a youth pastor, camp & conference speaker, and church planter. He is a pro-dog, anti-shark, and a recovering fortnight enthusiast who loves root beer barrels and long walks on the beach!
